The HURBINEK, Journal of Primolevian Studies, is a biannual publication of the Primo Levi Center/PUC-Rio, a research center linked to the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities at the same university, and supported by the Graduate Program in Constitutional Law and State Theory. It is a multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to publishing texts about the work of the Italian writer Primo Levi, as well as the variety of topics his work encompasses.
HURBINEK aims to welcome contributions that, in addition to considering aspects of Levi’s work—and given its multifaceted nature—seek to establish connections and dialogues with various aspects of the contemporary experience. Situated within the broad scope of the Humanities, HURBINEK, by virtue of the characteristics of its reference author, intends to maintain a dialogue with the field of scientific culture. The journal also aims to, as much as possible, re-publish essays that are difficult for Brazilian readers to access and are out of circulation, in addition to the vast variety of studies on Primo Levi's work.
