The extension course is a partnership between CRIOLA (a Black women's organization that has been active for over thirty years in Rio de Janeiro), the University of California (Department of Anthropology, Department of Black Study), and PUC-Rio (PPGD/NIREMA). Its objective is to enhance the academic and political skills of social movement leaders.
