In 2024, Cooperation Agreement TRF No. 8, dated November 8, 2024, was signed between PUC-Rio, through its Terras e Lutas Research and Extension Group coordinated by Prof. Adriano Pilatti, and the Federal Regional Court of the 2nd Region (TRF2), through its Land Solutions Commission.

It is worth noting that this is the first agreement signed between the TRF2 and a university to conduct research and extension activities on land conflicts.

The agreement aims to establish the basis for developing activities such as:

• Holding seminars and co-editing publications of books, articles, and research on land issues.

• Conducting a comparative analysis of the resolutions that established other Land Solutions Commissions in Federal Regional Courts and State Courts of Justice.

• Analyzing the land conflict incidents admitted by the TRF2's Land Solutions Commission.

• Analyzing the procedure adopted by the TRF2's Land Solutions Commission.

• Preparing technical notes by the Terras e Lutas Research and Extension Group at PUC-Rio to serve as a subsidy for the TRF2's Land Solutions Commission.

In less than two months of activities in 2024, the agreement has already enabled the joint realization of one seminar and two technical visits.
