On June 10, from 1 PM to 9 PM, PUC-Rio will host the seminar "Racial Relations and Abolitionism: Sharpening Strategies for Struggles for Freedom," featuring Ruth Wilson Gilmore.

The schedule includes three panels:

1 PM – University Legal Extensions in the Struggles for Freedom With Thamires Chaves (NAJUP Luiza Mahin - UFRJ), Weverton Ucelli da Silva (Diálogos do Cárcere - UERJ), Juliana Sanches (CRADAC - UFF), and Nina Barrouin (Direito em Pretuguês - PUC-Rio).

2:30 PM – Popular Legal Education in Combating Incarceration With Ane Rocha (ISER), Patricia Oliveira (Fórum Popular de Segurança Pública), and Agnes Moraes (Frente Estadual pelo Desencarceramento).

7 PM – Racial Relations and Abolitionism: Sharpening Strategies for Struggles for Freedom With Ruth Wilson Gilmore. Opening remarks by Thula Pires (PPGD PUC-Rio / NIREMA), Patricia Oliveira (Fórum Popular de Segurança Pública), Ana Beatriz da Silva (PPGG UFF / Casa das Pretas), and Agnes Moraes (Frente Estadual pelo Desencarceramento).
